How To Pay & Due Dates:

There are now 3 payment plans: per lesson, monthly, per semester:

  • Per Semester: A semester is defined as either the first 6 months of the calendar year or the last 6 months.

Credit information can be securely kept for recurring payments. Credit payments for monthly and semester are charged on the 1st of (applicable) the month. Late payments result in $50 late fee and lessons stopping until full payment received. Late payments will cause permanent banishment from original time slot. Invoices available upon request

There are 2 discounts the student can receive:

  • $50 off a tuning, repair
  • Student referral: Refer a student, if they sign up for a month then referring student gets 1/4 off one months tuition.

These can be used multiple times by a single student

Make-Up Times & Cancellations:

Lessons can be canceled or moved to another date (availability not guaranteed) only if it is done 24 hours or more in advance. Less than 24 hours notice will be charged at full rate.

If Jeff is unavailable for non makeup lessons, students will not be charged. Jeff's time off will come with at least a 14 day notice.

An absence of 3 weeks in a row forfeits your time spot. Student can save time slot by paying for absences.

The student or Jeff reserves the right to cancel lessons at any time

Expectations of Student:

Students must have all of the following:

  • A place to practice that is distraction free, being mindful that most keyboards/organs are not acceptable
  • Time daily to practice daily
  • Be at least 5 years of age
  • Bring all materials to lessons, including a blank notebook
  • If the student is under 18, parent/guardian must be present for 1 lesson/month. A lesson sit in or extra time before/after lesson acceptable.

Although this is a private piano studio, and is not affiliated with any school district, it is no less an educational institution–and must be regarded as such. It is the position of this studio that piano lessons are to be treated with the same level of importance as any other subject your child may be studying in school. It is also the position of this piano studio that sporting events and other extracurricular activities are not considered valid excuses for not practicing during the week. As an instructor of piano, I would no more accept this reasoning than any other teacher at an educational institution. Sports and music may not always be mutually compatible, but need not be mutually exclusive. Please respect my curriculum and my commitment to your child’s musical education by maintaining a priority level for piano studies equal to that of other school subjects–regard it as a “private extension” of academics that would otherwise be unavailable to your child.

Expectations of Teacher

I aim to create a safe environment for the student to learn in first and foremost. I should create an individual lesson plan unique to each student's need - being neither too easy or overbearing. I will create opportunities for performance and/or competitions if the student so desires. I should be positive and encouraging. I will be punctual, polite, respectful to the surrounding area.
